I was appointed in April 2009 by a unanimous 4-0 vote to complete the unexpired term of my late Father-In-Law (David Terry) on the Social Circle City Council. I was subsequently elected by the voters in November 2009 to serve as City Councilman for District 3 in Social Circle. Since being elected in 2009 I have served 10 + years on the City Council and now have chosen to run for the office of Mayor in the November 2019 election.

I am 65 years old and married to Penny where we reside in District 3 of Social Circle. We have lived in Social Circle since 1994

I bring considerable experience to the city, having served as a member of Social Circle Better Hometown, Social Circle Lion's Club, Historic Preservation Society of Social Circle, The Friends of the W.H. Stanton Memorial Library and The Walton County Chamber of Commerce (through membership of the City of Social Circle).

My knowledge of local government and the community is enhanced by my experience in business. I have my own successful computer/networking business (Keener Computer Services) and retired as a Director from AT&T after 35 years of dedicated service in a leadership role managing employees in Georgia, Florida and South Carolina.
